Frisco, Colorado is set to light up on Friday, January 30th, as Boardslide Magazine teams up with The Town of Frisco and The Frisco Railpark to present Triple Threat Throwdown: A Friday Night Lights Event. An evening dedicated to snowboarding, community, and high-energy competition under the lights. This idea comes from our very own Hunter Ventline.
Running from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, this community-friendly event invites riders, snowboard enthusiasts, and spectators alike to gather at The Frisco Railpark for a night that celebrates new talent, local legends, and the strength of the Summit County snowboarding community.

The event kicks off at 4:00pm with an Open Community Jam, welcoming riders of all skill levels to get in on the action. Whether you’re here lapping the course, cheer on friends, or soak in the atmosphere, the early hours are all about inclusivity, creativity, and fun.
At 6:00pm, the spotlight shifts to the main event: the Triple Threat Throwdown. Experienced riders will form teams of three snowboarders and go head-to-head in a massive throwdown designed to push heavy tricks, creativity, and teamwork. With $2,000 cash on the line for the winning team, expect heavy riding and memorable moments as crews battle it out under the lights.

Staying true to Boardslide Magazine and Snow Pirates Co. tradition, event registration is free. BUT, riders will need either a Frisco Railpark season pass or a day ticket to participate. For those without a season pass, Frisco Railpark will be offering discounted day tickets starting at 4:00pm for the event.
The course itself is a custom build crafted by the combined efforts of Boardslide Mag and the Frisco Railpark crew. Spectators are top of mind with this setup, ensuring clear sightlines and an engaging viewing experience that makes the event just as exciting to watch as it is to ride.

Adding to the energy, the night will feature a live DJ, keeping the vibe high from start to finish, with announcing duties handled by Boardslide Mag’s very own Will Gosh.
Triple Threat Throwdown: Friday Night Lights is more than just a contest - it’s a community celebration. Bring your friends, bring the family, and come be part of a winter night in Frisco filled with snowboarding, music, and real community.
See you there, boarders.
